TemboTusk Skottle vs a Camp Stove

My Experence with a TemboTusk Skottle vs a Camp Stove
by: Tyler Golledge of Venture Overland Gear

I’ve heard people say: “Why would I spend $325 on a Tembo Tusk Skottle when my $100 Coleman stove does the same thing?” That is a fair question. Why spend that kind of money when, first; my stove only cost me $100 and second; I already have it, why in the world would I buy a Skottle?  In fact, it was me, I’m people, and I had said that up until the moment I bought one.

I’ll share my experiences between using a two burner stove for many years and using a Skottle for the last 2-3 years for camp cooking.

For many, once camp is set up after a day of traveling, exploring, and playing around it’s relax time. Cooking, chowing down around the campfire, and hanging out with friends is the main attraction of the evening. This is the time our Gordon Ramsey skills are flailing about like we know what we’re doing, but we usually still eat better than at home.  Click here to read the review.
